The mission of the Louisville Marine Aquarium Society is to provide a resource and focus for hobbyists in the Kentuckiana region who have interests in captive marine systems. We will increase public awareness of the importance and value of living coral reef ecosystems. By increasing the hobbyist's level of understanding and depth of knowledge, we will help hobbyists become more successful in maintaining captive marine systems.

 The June meeting will be held at Greentree Pet Center
When: June 28th 2009 Where: Green Tree Pet Center 1604 Greentree Blvd Clarksville IN 47129 TIME: 7PM (note the time difference) GreenTree Petcenter has been a Saltwater staple for many years to the Kentuckiana area. They have agreed to open up after their normal closing time and let the club come in :) Jeremy Burns has been kind enough to come in on his day off to open the store for us. Let’s show them a good turn out!
They will be offering special pricing on all on stock items for club members. If you have not yet paid your dues, now would be the time to take advantage of the deals! They will also be offering special pricing on pre-ordering for all Ice Cap products.
I am sure Jeremy will be ordering some nice livestock in before the meeting as well. Greentree is located right in front The Bass Pro Shop on Greentree Blvd. If you take any of the Clarksville exits, you cant miss it. Hope to see you all there! |

The April was a huge success, IMO. We had an excellent turn out with some people we had not seen in awhile and some new faces too. Corey again took some excellent pics and I threw in a few myself. It is not everday that my tank and sump room are that clean  We did have a bit of a mishap with the Steve Pro visit as we got our months confused. Steve will be coming in May and will be at Brain D's place. Brian owns and operates a a Saltwater/reef store out of his house so I am sure he will have some nice stuff to show us. I will get the meeting info up asap so make plans to be there to check out his tanks and see Steve Pro. Next meeting is on May 17th. Thanks to all that came out and support the club. The May meeting was another success. Steve Pro came in for a visit and gave a very interesting presentation on reef dangers and how to protect yourself. He showed us some of Ice Caps new T5 setups and many were wowed by the brightness of those lights. Looked nice but I will have to keep my Halides for now  Brian D. was a gracious host and and some excellent specimans in his display and also in his for sale tank. That octopus was very cool! I will definately check out Oceans Direct the next time I need some livestock! The next meeting will be announced any day now. You can check out the pics courtesy of Corey Z.  Thanks Corey. If you did not make it to the March meeting at Chris Tetric's house, you really missed a good one. The tank shot does not do it justice. Chris has an awesome tank and was a great host.
