The mission of the Louisville Marine Aquarium Society is to provide a resource and focus for hobbyists in the Kentuckiana region who have interests in captive marine systems. We will increase public awareness of the importance and value of living coral reef ecosystems. By increasing the hobbyist's level of understanding and depth of knowledge, we will help hobbyists become more successful in maintaining captive marine systems.

Monthly Meeting for May 2008 |

 The Monthly meeting for May will be held at Victor Miller's house.
WHERE: 8007 Stacy Lynn Court Louisville, KY 40291 CONTACT: Victor @ 502-552-5669 WHEN: May 18th TIME: 4 PM Victor will be discussing the benefits of a bare bottom tank setup. Victor has a beautiful display tank upstairs and a very elaborate basement sump system. He uses quite a few monitoring devices so if you want to see a very technical and precise setup, this is the one to see! We will aso discuss some more on the arrangements of our 2nd Annual Frag Swap slated for November 2008. Hope to see you there. |

As you can see, the new site is up and running. We had to take the old site down suddenly due to some issues the bug was creating. I apologize for the sudden change  You will need to re-register for the new site. The forum link is at the top of the page and is up and running as well. Once you register, you can post up. Please post in the welcome thread to let us know you made the move. The new site is fully functional but still a work in progress. If something does not work, let me know. The old site forums are now active and on the left side main menu (LMAS archived forums). They are READ ONLY, but at least we were able to save them. Thanks Mike -

April 2008 Meeting at Sandys Pet Shop |

The LMAS April meeting for 2008 was held at Sandy's Pet Shop on Saturday April 19th. We had a great turnout with some new face and old faces we have not seen for awhile! Bruce gave a great presentation that I got so absorbed in, that I forgot to take more pictures :) Here are the ones I got (click the pic)...  Jim and I will have a detailed account of everything that happened at the meeting so I will leave that to him. Enjoy the pics and hopefully we will see you at Victor's house in May. I will have details posted on the May meeting soon. |

The March Meeting was held via a Roadtrip to Inland Aquatics in Terra Haute IN. There were 8 of us that went and we all had a great time. Morgan at Inland gave us a tour of the facility and we were all impressed. You can check out our photos here(click the photo):
